While one-touch control is already far more convenient than complicated setups, we want to make your flight experience even easier.
With HoverAir X1 Pro/ProMax, you don’t even need to tap the button on the device to select modes or take off. Simply use voice commands to launch, switch between flight modes, or land completely hands-free. This not only saves time but also makes it perfect for scenarios like cycling, skiing, or any activity where you’re wearing gloves. From now on, just pull it out of your pocket, talk to it, and it starts filming.
One important note: you’ll need to speak directly to the self-flying camera itself, not to your phone or remote controller.
How to use Voice Control?
1. Update the App
Make sure your HoverAir App is updated to version 8.0.17 or later.
2. Enable the Feature
- Open the Hover X1 App
- Connect your PRO/PROMAX with the app
- Tap [Hover Settings]
- Scroll down to [Voice Settings]
- Toggle on [Voice Control]
3. Wake-Up Command
Say “Hi Hover” directly to the self-flying camera (not to your phone or remote controller). Once the wake word is recognized, you’ll hear a tone, and the device will enter a 10-second voice interaction window (it will exit automatically after).
4. Available Voice Commands
You can control flight operations hands-free with these commands:

🌟🌟 Tips
- Environment: Use Voice Control within the camera’s pickup range; recognition may fail if you are too far away.
- Shutdown distance: The shutdown command only supports close-range execution.
- Exact wording required: Voice commands must match the prompts exactly; otherwise, the camera cannot recognize them. You can always check the full list of prompts in the App under Voice Control settings.
- If activation fails: The camera will prompt “Voice Control activation failed.” Try toggling the Voice Control switch off/on in the App, or contact after-sales support for help.

Voice control is not supported during flight (the propellers are too close to the microphone, causing excessive noise that prevents accurate recognition).
