Smart Ascend automatically raises the drone when detecting other people or obstacles, reducing collision risks. To use this feature, make sure it is enabled in the X1 App before your flight.This is especially useful on:

• Crowded ski slopes

Smart Ascend improves safety while adding vertical motion to your shots, creating more dynamic and cinematic footage.
Even with Smart Ascend on, please always be mindful of your surroundings and respectful of other people.

We've introduced a new mode called PilotAssist to add variety and creativity to your non-follow flight modes. This allows you to toggle quickly into a manual mode that is fully centered on you.

In non-follow modes (such as Zoom Out, Orbit, etc.), when you use the App or Beacon to adjust the flight direction, the device will switch to Hover mode. From there, you can freely adjust the angle around your current target point for more creative control.

Difference from Manual Control:

• Pilot Assist: Keeps the subject locked.
• Manual Control: The drone does not track or lock onto the subject.

In follow modes (such as Cycling Mode, Dolly Track, etc.), pressing a direction button on the App or Beacon will trigger CoPilot. In CoPilot, your flying camera will continue following you while you adjust its angle, height, or distance creating more dynamic follow shots.

CoPilot now works seamlessly even when Auto Correction is enabled in Angle Track Mode.

• If Autocorrect is on, changing the angle with CoPilot will set the new relative position, for example from front right to back right

• If Autocorrect is off, changing the angle with CoPilot will set the new angle.

Please note that in Dolly Track and Back Follow, once you release the left/right button in CoPilot, the device will return to the original follow angle.
