Users needing Remote ID can now fly HOVERAir X1 PRO and X1 PROMAX without an external broadcast module. Applicable Models: X1 PRO & X1 PROMAX System Requirements:
- Aircraft firmware version v7.9.3 or above (released in April)
- App version v2.33.0 or above (released in August) in order to view the Remote ID
Note: This article focuses specifically on FAA Remote ID compliance in the United States.
What Is Remote ID?
In simple terms, Remote ID (Remote Identification) is a system that enables drones and flying cameras to be identified within controlled airspace. It functions like a “license plate + location signal” for drones, allowing regulatory authorities and other airspace participants to identify a drone and locate it during flight. This helps ensure flight transparency and airspace coordination.

How can you achieve Remote ID compliance?
Although the X1 PRO & PROMAX weigh under 250g and are eligible for a Remote ID exemption for recreational use, some users may still operate them for commercial purposes. Previously, users could meet Remote ID compliance by using an external Remote ID module（Broadcast Module).
Now, the HOVERAir X1 PRO and PROMAX have been added to the FAA Remote ID compliant database, which means they can meet Remote ID requirements without an external module. Below are the detailed steps:
How to find your Remote ID?
Open the HOVERAir App:
App → Hover → My Hover → Select your aircraft → View Serial Number (SN)
Please make sure to use the Remote ID SN, which begins with 2095F…, not the general SN beginning with ZZR.
Copy and save this serial number, as it will be required later during registration.
How to Verify HOVERAir 141 Remote ID Compliance
- Visit the FAA Remote ID Declaration of Compliance (DOC) database: https://uasdoc.faa.gov/listDocs
- Search for “ZERO ZERO ROBOTICS” and you will find the HOVERAir X1 PRO and X1 PROMAX Remote ID compliance listings.
- By clicking "View", you can see the approved Remote ID serial number ranges and compliance details.
- Compare the listed serial numbers with your device’s SN to confirm that your PRO or PROMAX SN is included in the compliant range.
Tip: This method allows users to quickly verify that their device meets FAA commercial flight Remote ID requirements.
What Else Is Required to Fly Commercially with Remote ID?
Enabling Remote ID alone does not automatically authorize commercial flight. Users must also complete the following FAA requirements for Part 107 (Commercial Use) flight:

Register the aircraft
- Visit FAA DroneZone and create an account
- Choose “Part 107 – Commercial Use” registration path
- During registration, provide and link the Remote ID Serial Number (the serial number retrieved from the HOVER App as mentioned above).
- Complete the required information.
- Pay the registration fee
- ✅ Note: Each aircraft used for commercial purposes must be registered individually. Recreational registration numbers cannot be used for commercial operations.
- Obtain a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Check airspace authorization – Apply for LAANC if flying in controlled airspace
- Follow all Part 107 operational rules and limitations

Note: For the X1 PRO & PROMAX, the Remote ID broadcast signal is not perceivable to users during operation. It can only be received using specific apps or tools designed to detect Remote ID broadcasts.
